The long awaited Act to tackle piracy in Karnataka state for video and audio industry especially has come in to effect.

Proposed during HD Kumaraswamy as chief minister and moved during BS Yediyurappa as chief minister and now implementation is happening during Siddaramaiah as chief minister. The President accent has come to the Anti Goonda Act came a month ago and on a question raised by Sandesh Nagaraja it was declared that there is a bill and that will come in to effect.

The implementation of the Bill of Anti Goonda Act is found in other states to curtail piracy. Now in Karnataka it is a major win for audio and video houses.
